The Second Annual Mercurio Camp Scholarship was awarded to Chris Gallanty and Tanner Morrow at our dinner. This $3,000 annual scholarship was set up so that we, as a community, could give back to members of our camp family as they begin their college careers.
Future winners must make a commitment to service, education, and community. Chris was a former student, camper, coach, and player for Coach Mercurio and now has a responsibility to hold all future winners up to the very high standard he has set. Tanner Morrow was a model of consistency, effort and hard work in all he has done with the Mercurio Basketball Camp!
Coach Mercurio said that evening...
"Chris and Tanner are two kids who grew up with this camp as a big part of their life. They learned many valuable lessons here, but more importantly passed those values, qualities, and attitudes on to another generation of kids. I am proud to have been their coach and know they are destined to do great things in life."
